چکیده
UNLABELLED INTRODUCTION Squamous cell carcinoma of the lung represents 30% of all non-small cell lung carcinomas. It arises from dysplasia of squamous epithelium of the bronchi and is strongly associated with cigarette smoking. Squamous cell carcinoma of the lung is known to produce metastases in the brain parenchyma. CASE PRESENTATION We present the case of an 80-year-old indigenous Australian man with an unusual presentation of metastatic carcinoma of the lung. The case demonstrated a squamous cell carcinoma of the lung with an intracranial metastatic lesion destroying the parietal bone and extending into the extracranial soft tissue. A visible deformity as a result of the metastasis was evident on physical examination and computed tomography demonstrated extensive bone destruction. CONCLUSION The authors were unable to find a case of this occurring from a squamous cell carcinoma of the lung anywhere in the world literature. The case report demonstrates an unusual disease presentation with a rare intracranial metastasis invading through the skull.

Squamous cell carcinoma arising from chronic hypertrophic Lichen Planus: A case report
Association of lichen planus and cutaneous malignancies is rare. Reports of neoplastic changes are mostly related to buccal chronic erosive lichen planus. We report herein a 29-year-old man who developed squamous cell carcinoma on previous lesions of chronic hypertrophic lichen planus of lower legs. Careful follow up of patients with chronic lichen planus and biopsy sampling of uncommon lesions...

Metastatic tumors to the heart unlike primary cardiac tumors are not rare. Despite its frequency, cardiac metastasis is commonly detected only during autopsy as the symptoms of disseminated metastasis prevail over symptoms caused by cardiac metastasis and hence is overlooked most of the time. Tumors more commonly found metastasizing to the heart are malignancies of lung, breast, esophagus, lymp...

Introduction: Follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC) is the second most common malignant form of thyroid cancers. FTC is more common in women with a peak incidence in the fifth and sixth decades of life. Invasion into blood vessels may lead to distant metastasis to bone, lung, liver or elsewhere. FTC rarely manifests itself as a distant metastatic lesion, especially as solitary metastasis. Case r...

Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma (BSCC) is a rare variant of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), which is highly aggressive, with a tendency for multifocality, local invasion, and with a high metastatic potential. Less than forty cases of BSCC of the sinonasal tract have been reported in the literature, and no reports were found on sinonasal BSCC arising from the ethmoid sinus. We report the case of...
